Auto repair in the United States is split between independent shops, dealership service departments and national chains. Independents handle most routine work (oil changes, brakes, tune-ups, check-engine diagnostics) at lower labor rates and often specialize in one make or in imports; dealers keep factory tools, software and warranty authority; chains sell speed and standard pricing on maintenance items. Most shops charge a diagnostic fee, credited toward the repair if you go ahead, and quote parts and labor separately. Certification matters: look for ASE-certified technicians and, in many states, a state repair license posted at the counter. Written estimates are required by law in most states before work begins, and you are entitled to your old parts if you ask.
Hours are published for 5 days a week. Typical hours are 8 am–5 pm. Note that it does not open on Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (727) 736-2755. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is pfeiferautoservice.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
Its Google rating is 3.9 out of 5 from 185 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.
Dunedin is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Dunedin follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I needed towing due to starting issues on my 2018 VW Beetle. Towing pickup was very fast and AAA afiliated with Pfeifer Auto which was nearby. I was pleased with their consistent communication concerning the car's status starting with Sean who explained everything in detail. Victoria also helped in checking for vehicle warranties where I could save some money. They gave me a 10% discount on repairs through AAA. I can recommend them highly due to great customer service!

I had never heard of this place. They were recommended by a neighbor. It ended up being rodent damage which thank goodness my insurance covered, but these guys were absolutely fantastic about communicating and getting it fixed in a timely manner.

On our way out shopping today, our 2024 Silverado shut itself off and would jot start again, we were able to get to a secure place, Onstar worked with AAA and they called upon Pfeifer to help tow our truck. Almost instantly after they received the call, Jessica called to ask if we were safe, and that our Driver, Ryan, was on his way and 6 minutes away to come and tow our Silverado to our dealer, Dimmitt Chevrolet. Upon Ryan's arrival, he introduced himself after positioning his Flatbed truck in front of us for him to pull up our truck on the bed. He made sure too that we we okay as well, extremely helpful and expeditious in what he did for us. He and my husband left with our truck to the Dealer. I was pleasantly surprised to get a call a little while later from Jessica checking that all went well, and it did. I have to say that Jessica and Ryan were absolutely amazing at helping us out during this unexpected failure of our Silverado Truck, and am extremely Thankful to them, as well as Pfeifer Auto Services for having hired the Best Staff.

Pfeifer was contacted by our Honda roadside assistance when our truck broke down last week. The dispatcher that called us was great and got all the necessary info. She said the eta for a tow truck was about 60 minutes. Within a few minutes, their truck was pulling into the lot! The driver, Ryan, got the truck quickly loaded up and gave us a ride to the dealership. Very efficient and nice conversation on the way. A car breakdown is a stressful situation, but the towing part of it by Pfeifer was very smooth and efficient. Big thanks to them!

I was told 60-90 minutes for a tow. Ken showed up in 15 minutes and pulled off a challenging tow with no problems. I would definitely use them, again. But, I hope I don’t have to 😃
